GLEN COLLINS Digital Outlook managing director
Glen is the managing director of Digital Outlook which he co-founded in 1998. His responsibilities include new business activity, setting the strategic direction of the agency, overseeing client campaigns and the general running of the company.
The creation and development of Digital Outlook has been a great achievement for Glen and this year he has been recognised as one of the "Official 2002 Who's Who of young entrepreneurs". Since founding Digital Outlook Glen has concentrated his personal work with clients in the entertainment and youth sector, including Carlton Interactive, Channel 4, YouthNet and Buena Vista International.
Before commencing Digital Outlook Glen worked for Foresight, a specialist marketing agency, where he met his current founding partner Maurice Wheeler. His role at Foresight as online marketing director was a position that Glen created following him setting up the online marketing team after recognising the opportunity within the market. His clients during his 2 years at Foresight included Twentieth Century Fox, BVI, Interflora, Nestle and Polygram Video.
Previous to Foresight Glen worked with CIA in its newly formed CIA Interactive team (now Outrider) and gained extensive experience with clients such as McEwans, Alex Lawrie and TSB. Glen Collins, managing director of Digital Outlook, said: "The results achieved from the Eminem game clearly demonstrate the convergence between the music industry and the internet. This is a great example of how producers should look at the demographics of the fans and target them through the appropriate media. It's also a good example of a public service site working in partnership with a commercial partner to produce compelling online content."
