   Gini Collins, a Senior Consultant in the Human Resource Consulting Division, recently received her Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
   
   Gini has spent the last two years researching and writing her dissertation. She found the research to be the most challenging part because the research was conducted as a field study. In other words, she collected data from a real corporation and real corporate executives. Collecting the data was challenging because the executives had other priorities. Gini said ,"Using University students for the data collection process tends to be easier because you have a captive audience who will participate for extra credit! However, the value added to the research from doing a field study with "real" people is invaluable." It took about three months of friendly reminders before all the information was returned to her.
   
   Gini also found it very challenging to balance a full time career with the dissertation research requirements. Gini stated, "The support that SilverStone and Tom Whalen provided, from a time management perspective as well as from an emotional support and encouragement perspective, made this a goal I could actually accomplish."
