Gail Collins Gail Collins is a native of St. Petersburg, Florida. A graduate of Florida State University, she played in the University Symphony, St. Petersburg Symphony and Philharmonic , and Fla. Gulf Coast Symphony before marrying and moving to Florida's east coast. She taught English at Melbourne High School before "retiring" to start a family. She has been a member of the BSO since 1979.
Mrs. Collins currently teaches string classes to fourth and fifth graders in five elementary schools in Orange County. She also plays in the Bach Festival orchestra and remains active in freelance ensemble playing.
