   He spent six years at Memorial Park in Houston.After five years as the head golf instructor, he became the Director of Golf.Prior to joining the Memorial Park staff, he spent three years at Bear Creek Golf World, starting as the Head Professional and progressing to the Director of Golf.
   
   He has written a book, Constants in the Golf Swing, and numerous articles for local golf publications.For ten years, he was known as the Â"Swing DoctorÂ" on golf talk shows at two local radio stations (KPRC and KSEV).He continues as time permits as a guest host on KILT.

   Collins' uncle Fred Collins once was the head golf professional at the course.
   
   The Texas-San Antonio senior won both his matches Friday to advance to today's round of eight.
   
   "My uncle was a local pro," Collins said."A lot of people probably know him.I'm staying with him this week.It's kind of fine being here (at Memorial Park)."
   
   Especially the way he played Friday.Collins blitzed Tim O'Brien of Dallas 7 and 5 in the morning session and eliminated Clay Hightower of Houston 4 and 2 in the second round.
