Doreen trained as a sculptor in the late 70's at Chelsea School of Art and exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition for over 10 years. Doreen has had other exhibitions including the Building Centre (concrete and bronze), the Ben Uri Gallery - two person show and a piece of sculpture 'The Special Child' was unveiled by the Queen Mother for the opening of MENCAP'S headquarter building. She had had many exhibitions of drawings in pastel and conte. Whatever the media, Doreen aims to create a sense of the feelings around her - the mood of the moment.
