   About Dr. Collins
   
   Donald Collins, MD, of Andover, Minnesota is an obstetrician and gynecologist and has practiced at Mercy and Unity hospitals for 21 years. He has held numerous leadership roles, including chief of staff and medical executive council chair. Dr. Collins is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and continues to serve patients at the RiverWay Clinic in Coon Rapids.
   
   Originally from Minneapolis, Dr. Collins initially pursued a career as a scientist and attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston where he received an electrical engineering degree. However, he became interested in medicine and attended medical school at Duke University where he completed internships in pediatrics and internal medicine.
   
   He served as a general medical officer with the Indian Health Service in Oklahoma for three years. Then, he completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
