   Brian Collins, is currently a student of Elmhurst College. Upon graduation he will receive a degree in music education. He has played drums for the Elmhurst College Jazz Band for the past three years.
   
   All members of the quintet have toured internationally with the Elmhurst College Jazz Band most recently in Croatia and previously in Italy at the Umbria Jazz Festival, in France at the Vienne Jazz Festival and festivals throughout the United Kingdom.

   Brian Collins auditioned for the band one time, and one time was all it took. With hands of lightning and coordination of a drummer reminiscent of a certain drummer from Rush, the guys knew their search was over. Brian's father was an accomplished jazz/rock drummer and his talent was obviously passed on to his son through a drummer's genes. He now plays a dual role as he continues to play the drums for the Elmhurst College Jazz Band and he has redefined the way the drums can and should be played.
