Barclay Collins practices primarily in the federal taxation area.

Mr. Collins has represented a variety of clients in corporate, controversy, planning, and legislative matters.He has worked with individual clients in structuring corporate acquisitions and divestitures, issuance of corporate securities, structuring and operating real estate investment trusts, and addressing corporate and partnership tax planning.Mr. Collins has assisted clients in obtaining regulatory guidance and seeking legislative solutions for federal income and excise tax issues.In addition, his experience includes working on contested matters at the IRS Audit and Appeals levels, as well as in the United States Tax Court.

Mr. Collins is a graduate of Brown University (A.B. 1989, magna cum laude) and Columbia University School of Law (J.D. 1993, Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar), where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Columbia Journal of Environmental Law.

Mr. Collins is a member of the New York State Bar and the District of Columbia Bar.He is also admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court.
