Ms Collins, training and HR director at Worldchoice UK Ltd, based in Peterborough, developed the successful Action Plan for Profit which is a training and development action plan to help travel agents survive and set them on a journey to greater profits.
She designed it to halt the closure of independent travel agencies in the wake of competitive pressures from multiples and the internet, and world events which hit travel - 9/11, the Gulf War and SARS.
Worldchoice, of Worldchoice House, Minerva Business Park, Lynch Wood, is a consortium of 600 small, independent travel agencies, which use their combined purchasing power to compete with the travel giants.
