   Barbara W. Collins of Gainesville died Sunday at Shands at the University of Florida. She was 64.
   
   Mrs. Collins was born in Manhattan, N.Y., and lived in Maryland and Fort Walton Beach before moving to Gainesville 36 years ago.
   
   She graduated from Washington County Hospital School of Nursing in Hagerstown, Md., and worked as a registered nurse. She also taught nursing classes at Santa Fe Community College and health occupation at Gainesville High School.
   
   Mrs. Collins was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
   
   She was preceded in death by her husband, William I. Collins.
