   Andrew joined A J Park in 1971 and became a partner in 1978.Andrew is a commercial intellectual property law specialist with extensive experience in drafting and advising on intellectual property agreements and in particular trade mark and endorsement licenses.He works with a number of New Zealand's largest companies on their brand strategies including protection and enforcement both locally and internationally.He also advises on brand development and protection strategies for a number of New Zealand's innovative new technology companies.
   
   Andrew has retained a strong involvement in intellectual property law internationally and has been consistently recognised by overseas corporate in-house counsel and peers as a pre-eminent practitioner in the field.In 2004, Andrew was named Top Trade Mark Law Expert in New Zealand by International Financial Law Review magazine.He was also nominated by his peers as one of the world's leading practitioners in his field by the International Who's Who Legal Trade Mark Lawyer.

   Andrew has had an involvement with the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA).He is currently the international Vice President of that organisation as the immediate Past President of the New Zealand group of APAA.
   
   In addition to his membership of the New Zealand Law Society and the New Zealand Institute of Patent Attorneys, Andrew is an Australian Registered Patent Attorney.He is also a member of several international intellectual property organisations such as the Pharmaceutical Trade Mark Group and the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys (FICPI).
