Estate Planning. Susan has extensive experience not only in the preparation of wills , trusts , and other estate planning documents , but also in working with clients to achieve their personal and financial goals in the context of sophisticated federal estate , gift and generation-skipping transfer tax planning. She has assisted clients in implementing complex estate plans through use of such techniques as irrevocable insurance trusts , split interest charitable trusts , grantor retained annuity trusts and qualified personal residence trusts.
Retirement Benefits Planning. Susan has substantial experience in planning for retirement benefits. She has extensive knowledge of the complex rules governing income and estate taxation of retirement benefits and works closely with clients to maximize their retirement benefits through proper beneficiary designations.
