   Michael Colligan is practice leader of the firm's health and welfare benefit services group, where he supervises the design, implementation and monitoring of the full range of group benefit programs.
   
   Recently, he generated a $1.3 million savings in the health care program of a mid-size manufacturing client without reducing benefit levels, simply by changing to a more efficient cost effective network.
   
   Mr. Colligan's experience includes over 25 years in national sales and marketing for major insurance carriers and consultants that serve Fortune 1000 companies. Prior to joining The Ross Companies, he served as vice president of sales at United Health Group, where he was responsible for planning and execution of direct/consultant sales strategies. Previously, he was director of executive accounts for Oxford Health Plans, after having started up the company's regional sales effort in Connecticut.
   
   Earlier, Mr. Colligan worked in employee benefits as a senior marketing executive at CIGNA and as a senior benefits consultant at Alexander & Alexander Consulting Group, as well as in sales, underwriting and analyst positions at The Equitable Assurance Society in New York City.
   
   Mr. Colligan earned his bachelor's degree in business from Niagara University.
