  Jim Coles is an accomplished player and teacher.He's been a member of the PGA of America since 1984.While Jim was single and pursuing a career on the PGA Tour, he was coached by Tiger Wood's first teacher, PGA instructor Rudy Duran.From the time Tiger was age 6 until about age 16, Jim and Rudy spent a lot of time with Tiger on the course as his game was being developed and polished.

  Jim has enjoyed playing the game of golf competitively over the past 18 years as well.Besides being nominated in 1999 & 2000 for "The Teacher of the Year" award for the Northern Chapter of the S.C.P.G.A., he was the Chapter "Player of the Year" in 1988 and again in 1996.Jim holds numerous golf course records with the lowest coming in 1996 when he shot "60" at Birnam Wood C.C. in Santa Barbara, CA.
