Dr. Jann Coles

Jann ColesNational Director of Principal Coaching and Support, NationalDr. Jann Coles is the National Director of Principal Coaching and Support for New Leaders for New Schools.In this role, Jann provides ongoing support, training, and development to the organization's Leadership Coaches, and is responsible for ensuring the quality of the Residency and Post-Residency for all New Leaders.To this end, Jann also plays a key role in New Leaders' program and Curriculum teams.Jann joined New Leaders for New Schools from Colgate-Palmolive, where she served as Director for Corporate Education, spearheading involvement with New York City Public Schools.She also founded New York Citywide Shadow Day, a school-to-work program for middle school students.Combined with her work as a secondary school leader, Jann has been involved in the creation and redesign of a number of schools.She is an adjunct professor at Fordham University, where she co-founded the National Principals Leadership Institute, and teaches courses on change, leadership, and diversity.Jann has been awarded the School and Business Alliance Corporate Partnership Award, the Middle Schools Association annual award, and the Harlem Black Achievers in Industry Award.
