Karen grew up outside Dayton, Ohio, and is a graduate of Ohio University.She worked as a reporter/anchor in the Tri-Cities at WJHL-TV for two and a half years before moving to WKEF-TV in Dayton in 1997.Karen returned to the Tri-Cities to join the Newscenter 5 Team in 1998 as Anchor/Reporter for the debut of Newscenter 5 @5.Cole now anchors the 6 : 00 and 11 : 00 weekend newscasts.
