Spine Surgery focusing on cervical & lumbar disorders. Trained in both traditional approaches & newer minimally invasive techniques for disc herniation, stenosis & fusion. Certified in artificial disc implantation. Dr. Anders Cohen is the only spine surgeon in the New york Metropolitan area treating degernerative scoliosis and spodylolithesis with minimally invasive decompression and correction. In addition, he has pioneered endoscopic lumbar decompression for small disc herniations. 

Secondary Specialty:
Pediatric Neurosurgery - Specializing in Chiari Malformations & Spinal Cord Detethering. The latest diagnostic and theraputic technologies are used for higher patient satisfaction & shorter hospital stays. Dr. Cohen has recently developed a minimally invasive Chiari decompression for patients that meet certain criteria. These patients typically leave the hospital within 24 - 48 hours after surgery with greatly reduced side effects associated with traditional approaches.
