Mrs. Coder belonged to St. William Catholic Church at Wellfleet and St. William Altar Society.She was an Indianola Deanery officer.She gave much of her time as a community worker.She was a 4-H club leader, 60-year Extension Club member, secretary of the Wellfleet Community Club, Lincoln County American Red Cross board member and past Chapter secretary, news reporter and correspondent for the North Platte Telegraph and the Hi-Line Enterprise in Curtis and member of Nebraska Press Women's Club.She was also secretary and treasurer of District 15 Nebraska Cow Belles Assoc., member Lincoln County Planning Commission, Project SSI Alert District B Director, member Nebraska Commission on Drugs, member of Nebraska Governor's Commission on Status of Women, Charter member Priors Club of Nebraska and member West Nebraska Health Planning Council, elected Alternate Delegate to 1972 Democratic Party National Convention from the 3 rd District, Chair Woman Lincoln County Democrat Central Committee and appointed Honarary Admiral in the Great Navy of the State of Nebraska.She was also an accomplished violinist and a member of McCook College Symphony Orchestra and the Sandhills Symphony Orchestra.
