    Leonard was born and raised in Garden City. In 1950 he enlisted in the United States Army. He returned to Kansas and lived in Hutchinson for 5 years before moving back to Garden City. While living in Garden City he worked for P&L Construction and in maintence fro St. Catherine Hospital for 25 years. He went on to retire from the City of Garden City. Leonard enjoyed wood working, fishing and spending time with his family, sepecially his grandchildren.

    Coates was born Aug. 24, 1958, in Anne Arundel County, Md.He attended Tracey's Elementary, Southern Junior High School, and Southern Senior High School in Anne Arundel County, graduating in 1976.He served in the U.S. Army for seven years, earning several awards, ribbons, and medals, as well as a degree in accounting.After his duty, he worked for the Department of Housing and Urban Development in Washington, D.C., as an accountant, retiring in 1999.

    His hobbies included tailoring, fashion designing, drawing, and spending time with his family and friends.
