Melissa Cline

Melissa Cline, Ph.D.

Melissa Cline is the principal of Bioinfocus Consulting.  She specializes in development, refinement, and application of protein sequence analysis algorithms.  She studied bioinformatics at UCSC, where she focused on methods of protein homology recognition and prediction of accurate regions in protein sequence alignments.  Prior to bioinformatics, her field was software engineering; she has seven years of industry experience and a master's degree in software engineering.  In addition, Melissa teaches in the award-winning bioinformatics program at the UCSC extension.  For further details, please see her resume.
