   American Student Assistance (ASA) announces the hiring of Stephen Clemente as the Manager of the newly developed Implementation Team. In collaboration with other ASA departments, Clemente and his team will be responsible for coordinating the transition of new school and lender clients from the sales process to active processing.
   
   The Implementation Team was formed to supplement ASA's strong and rapidly growing Business Development unit and client acquisitions. Clemente, an expert in the field of student loan technology products, and his team will analyze new clients' workflows and adapt ASA processes to fit their specific needs.
   
   Prior to joining ASA, Clemente was Technology Products Specialist with Chase/Education First. In this capacity, he provided lead implementation support for Chase products and served as lead consultant for emerging industry developments, including electronic signature and XML.
   
   Prior to his tenure at Chase, Clemente was Associate Director of Technical Services for James Madison University, where he managed the financial aid office technology staff, as well as researched and implemented new technology solutions for the aid office.
   
   Clemente received a Masters in Higher Education Administration from Appalachian State University and a BS in Office Systems Management from James Madison University. Among other affiliations, he serves on the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) Technology Initiatives Committee and the Postsecondary Education Council XML Workgroup.
