  - Avica chairman Nicholas Clay told me that since the company announced its intention to digitize every screen in Ireland, that number has climbed from 480 to about 600 (by the time they're done.)   Nicholas Clay, Senior Vice President of Technology and Strategy for D-Cinema, currently advises on all D-Cinema corporate strategy and business development initiatives for DTS Digital Cinema.In addition to his position with DTS Digital Cinema, Nicholas currently also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Avica Technology Corporation.Nicholas was elected CEO of Avica on July 15, 2003, and he had been Avica's Chairman of the Board since 2001.Nicholas has been involved with Avica since it began D-Cinema in mid-1999, when he first became a director.He has over 21 years of experience in the technology industry.He previously held positions as Director of Media Architecture Development and Director of Professional Media Authoring Technology at Microsoft Corporation.At Microsoft, Nicholas directed large software development operations and created, and then directed, the development and introduction of the industry standard Advanced Authoring Format (AAF).Prior to Microsoft, Nicholas co-founded Altamira Software Corporation, which was acquired by Microsoft in 1994.He has also held key development management positions with Adobe and Pixar Animation Studios.
