    Jim Clarkson
    ...
Jim and his wife Betty have been married for 44 years.
    ...
They are from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and moved here in 1971, after Jim retired from Sears where he was an appliance repairman.

Jim is a 12 year veteran of the United States Navy.Six of those years were spent on active duty, 4½ years WW2 and 1½ years in Korea. In WW-2 in the Aleutians, Jim flew as an Aviation Radioman, sometimes gunner, in Dauntlesses, PBYs, TBMs and P-2 Venturas. While as a crewman he crashed two or three times.Ask him about it.

Jim learned to fly for free. His friend was looking for an airplane and the two of them were talking to the owner of a Tri-Pacer.To close the deal, the owner said he would throw in flying lessons for both.Jim forgot to tell the owner that he was not a partner.

In the early 1980s Jim became a Technical Counselor.Rumor has it that he was a Technical Counselor to Lindbergh.
    ...
Jim and Betty have had a love affair with Stinsons.
    ...
Recently Jim took full possession of his Stinson 108-3.It is the Stinson on the east side of the hangar at Lenora.

Currently, Jim is one of our three Tech Counselors. If you want to know something about airplanes and their construction ask Jim.He has forgotten more than most of us will ever know.Jim and Betty are very knowledgeable and gracious people.
