   Alex Clarke has been appointed Head of Private Placements at Brask & Company ; the recently founded investment bank set up by Lars-Christian Brask.
   
   Clarke , 29 , previously Director , New Equity Research Products at Credit Lyonnais Securities' Emerging Markets Equities subsidiary , has global experience in the IT and investment banking sector. Most recently she was a Partner at Kick-Start Ventures , responsible for fundraising for European early stage technology companies. Prior to that Clarke worked for early stage VC Armada Partners and was CFO for BusinessExplorer.com.
   
   During her time at Credit Lyonnais Securities , Clarke was responsible for the set up of the Latin American and Eastern European equity research departments and implementation of regional and global research strategies in Hong Kong , Philippines , Mexico , Argentina , New York and London.
