   The APEGS Gold Medal in Geoscience, presented to a student graduating with a first degree who has shown leadership qualities and academic achievement, will be presented to William F.B. Clark, who graduates with a BSc (Hons) degree in geology. Clark won several geology awards and was recipient of the 2004 Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists, Student Industry Field Trip Award (SIFT), one of 30 students selected from across Canada to participate in field trips designed to provide practical experience in the petroleum industry. Clark wrote his undergraduate thesis on the Carlile Formation of Western Saskatchewan, achieving a grade of 85 per cent, the highest accorded in many years. He has been an active member of the Geology Student Society.
