   Officer William Clark
   
   Officer Clark of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department is assigned to the Adam 2 Team neighborhoods.
   
   He is a Community Coordinator for Southside Homes, Brookhill, Sedgefield and Savannah Woods. He has been with the Department for 5 years.
   
   Officer Clark is involved in several programs and organizations within these communities. He writes a monthly article for the community newspaper. He is an acting member of the advisory council for Drill of Unity, a youth-based organization that keeps kids involved in the community and out of trouble.
   
   Officer Clark was also involved in reducing crime and drug activity for one of his neighborhoods in 2002. By combining efforts of the Police Department, Housing Authority, and the Charlotte Mecklenburg School system, the crime in the neighborhood was reduced by over 30% in just one year.
   
   Officer Clark has shown that community involvement and working with others can make a better place for us all.
