   Wayne Clark - Technician (Applied Arts). Wayne has a BA (Hons) in Ceramics and an MA in Contemporary Applied Arts and has been working at NEWI since 1995. His main specialism is in Ceramics including the techniques of throwing, handbuilding, slipcasting, sculpture, glaze technology and decoration and more recently concrete. He also has skills in mouldmaking and plaster casting and in the materials of wood, metal and glass. He has expertise in running community workshops, offering technical and equipment advice, the management of materials in practice, workshop and studio practice and exhibition design, and he has had a number of exhibitions and commissions of his work.
