   Vincent Clark, Ph.D., is an associate professor of psychology at the University of New Mexico.Previous to this position, he was on the faculty of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
   
   Clark's research interests are in the area of cognitive neuroscience, which includes the use of magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and event-related potentials (ERPs), as well as other methods to investigate the underlying neural mechanisms of cognition.His primary goal is to make functional brain imaging a more useful tool for the study of cognition in health and disease.Through his research, he has also sought to expand the boundaries of functional brain imaging techniques in order to gain new information on human brain function.These investigations have included mapping the structural and functional architecture of the human brain, identifying the basic organizational principles of perception, attention and language, and identifying differences in cognition and brain function associated with deafness, psychiatric disorders such as drug dependence and pathological gambling, and neurological conditions such as Huntington's Disease.
   
   Clark's research findings have been published in numerous publications, including NeuroImage, Neuroreport, Human Brain Mapping, Journal of Neurophysiology, Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience.
   
   Clark received his Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego.
