Pitching Coach
Bio: Clark begins his second year as the pitching coach at Frisco and his seventh as a minor league pitching coach.Last season the RoughRiders ranked fifth in the Texas League with a 4.30 ERA.Prior to joining Frisco last season, Clark spent five seasons as a coach in the Cleveland Indians organization.He was at Triple-A Buffalo in 2003 and 2004.Prior to his two seasons in the International League, Clark was the pitching coach for the Indians Double-A squad in Akron from 2001-02 and spent one season with Mahoning Valley in the New York-Penn League in 2000.Clark guided the Akron pitching staff to an Eastern League leading 3.09 ERA in 2002.Clark played professional baseball for 20 years and spent parts of six seasons in the major leagues, including the 1997 season with the Rangers (1-4, 5.87).He was originally selected by St. Louis in the 23rd round of the 1979 draft.During his professional career, he played for 10 different organizations (St. Louis, California, Houston, Cleveland, San Diego, Atlanta, Baltimore, Kansas City, Texas and Oakland).After breaking into the majors during the 1988 season with the California Angels, he appeared in 91 career games at the big league level and posted a 10-23 record with one save and a 5.54 ERA (143 ER/232.3 IP).While working mostly out of the bullpen during his minor league career, Clark compiled a 133-95 record with 72 saves and a 3.57 ERA.In his only season with the Rangers in 1997, Clark went 1-4 with a 5.87 ERA in 9 games/5 starts.Terry resides in Fontana, Calif., with his two children, Matthew and Jaclyn.
