   A memorial service for Susan Verne Clark was held November 9, 2003 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rochester, Minn.
   
   Susan Clark, age 55, of Rochester, Minn. was an elementary school teacher for 20 years, serving both Lutheran and public school systems. She died from complications of multiple myeloma while in hospice care at Charter House. Susan was born in Jamestown, N.D., on March 23, 1948, and spent most of her childhood in Perham, where she was baptized at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, attended St. Paul's Lutheran School and graduated from Perham Public High School as an honor student. Additionally, Susan was confirmed at Loon Lake Lutheran Church of Vergas, Minn. She graduated from Concordia College in St. Paul, Minn., with a BA in education and later received her masters from University of Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mass. Throughout her life, Susan was active in church and school organizations, serving as president of both a parent/teacher organization and the LWML. She enjoyed a variety of arts and crafts, such as Ukranian Eggs, cross stitch, painting and knitting.

   Susan was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Simons and her brother, Larry Simons.
