    Stan was born in Penn Yan, New York.Stan has two sons, Stanley and James and two grandchildren, Kennedy and Colin.

    Stan on February 7,1952, while attending Geneva High School enlisted in the United States Army.While on active duty he completed his high school education.Stan served with the 2nd Infantry Division during the Korean Conflict from July 1952 to 1953.He also served with the 1st Infantry Division and the 197th Trans BN, during the Vietnam Conflict from 1965 to 1967, and from 1969 to 1971.He continued his service until his honorable retirement in March 1972.

    After retiring from the Army Stan returned home to Penn Yan.He was appointed Director of the Yates County Veterans Service Agency in September 1974 and worked until his retirement in September 1994.

    LONG LAKE-American Legion 2005-06 Commander Stanley H. Clark will make the annual fact-finding visitation to Hamilton County Wednesday, Sept. 21.

    Hamilton Post 650 in Long Lake will host Clark and his entourage for a luncheon cruise aboard the 'W.W. Durant' on Raquette Lake and a reception and dinner at Long View Lodge.
