The Ruth Clark Scholarship was established by the Carolinas Chapter to honor Ruth Clark, one of the chapter's founding members.Ruth Clark, FIFDA, graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design.During her career, she designed upholstered furniture for companies, including Drexel Heritage and Pearson, a division of the Lane Company, where she was Vice President of Design and Styling.Many of her designs have become classics in the industry.She has held numerous board positions in the Carolinas Chapter, including President, and has been a mentor to students and young professionals in the furnishings industry.In 1994 Ruth received the National Honorary Recognition Award from IFDA.Currently she is a design consultant and furniture designer for The Clark Connection. -
