   Precinct 1 Councilor Richard Clark served for 12 years on the Barnstable Fire District's prudential committee and Precinct 5's Carl Riedell is the present chairman of the COMM Board of Water Commissioners. Both have been involved with the discussions regarding the Barnstable Water Co..
   
   The town is working with the Hyannis Fire District , which still has records and files from its unsuccessful bid for the water company in 1993. In May of that year , voters rejected the purchase , suggested at about $2.2 million. The district continued a dialogue with the water company through 1995 , when an agreement did not seem likely.

   Since last week's edition, John Brennan of West Barnstable, Richard Clark of Barnstable Village, John Julius of Hyannis and Susan Rohrbach of Centerville returned their papers and had them certified by the town clerk's office.

   Richard Clark of Barnstable Village is a former Barnstable Town Council President and former chairman if the Barnstable Fire District Prudential Committee. Clark served 10 years as a town councilor from Precinct 1, two as president.
