Renee began her journey with NAU in 1981, but returned to Tucson in 1983 to work full-time.After serving as an Accounting Supervisor for The Estes Company, she returned to NAU in 1987 and graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Marketing).Topping her claim to "NAU extracurricular activity" fame is the year she spent as a cheerleader.

As a native Tucsonan, Renee has watched the needs of her community grow over time. Therefore, she chose to focus her energies in the nonprofit environment. She spent the ‘80's working as a Donor Recruitment Consultant for the American Red Cross Southern Arizona Regional Blood Program.During the ‘90's, she became Director of the Tucson Parks Foundation as well as Tournament Director for the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) Tucson tournament.Currently, Renee is a Philanthropic Funds manager and manager of the Alexis de Tocqueville Society for the United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona.

In her spare time, Renee enjoys working on the "Art of Music" fundraising committee for the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, redecorating her house, and looking for the perfect puppy to adopt. But most importantly, Renee is very eager to begin her work with the volunteers and staff of the NAU Alumni Association.Renee has always been a strong advocate for Northern Arizona University and the quality education it provides.
