   The meeting was held and attended by Bart Brown, the President of the AHRA who was the major spokesman, with two other people representing the AHRA, Bob Fauls and Ralph Clark, who were generally silent throughout the discussions.

Qatar will enter all the horses to be in volume 3 (not yet published) into the World Arabian Horse Database…" and 2) … "Acceptance as an ‘approved source' does not mean that all horses in that stud book will be acceptable to the AHRA" and 3) "At the time of our inspecction of the records in the Registry of Qatar, there are certain horses and pedigree lines we observed that would not be acceptable … At this time, the stud books of Syria and Saudi Arabia have not been reviewed for ‘approved source' status.

   ( Westminster , Colo. ) - Ralph Clark , resident officer of the Arabian Horse Registry of America ( AHRA ) , confirmed today that the Registry has been expelled from membership in the World Arabian Horse Organization ( WAHO ). The American registry for purebred Arabian horses had been suspended by WAHO for refusing to register foreign horses of proven impure breeding.
   
   Last year , WAHO ordered all member registries to accept any horses as purebred Arabians which were accepted as such by any member registry. The problem , according to Mr. Clark , stems from the prior acceptance of some impure horses by South American registries as Arabians..
   
   The Board of Directors of the Arabian Horse Registry of America voted unanimously to refuse to register the impure horses as directed by the international organization.
