  He qualified in 1970 and joined D J Freeman in 1984, becoming the head of property in 1990 and senior property partner in June 2000.His main areas of work are development, shopping centres and leases.He is creator of the Leasebook - a completely new approach to lease drafting - a plain language enthusiast, and a committee member of Clarity.Paul is the firm's representative at the British Council of Shopping Centres and is a member of the City of London Law Society's Land Law Committee.He is commercial property adviser to the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice and a member of the European Board of DePfa-Bank.Paul is recognised by both the Legal 500 and the Chambers Directory of the Legal Profession as a leader in his field.

  Paul Clark has one of the most recognisable faces in Northern Ireland.
  
  As a broadcaster and journalist Paul presents the main evening news on UTV - UTV Live at Six.He has worked in broadcasting for more than 30 years and his career has taken him to Dublin with RTÉ and to London with the BBC.
  
  Apart from working as a TV journalist, Paul has made a number of documentaries in Ireland and overseas.His journeys have taken him to Sudan, Uganda, Angola, Nepal, India and large parts of Central and South America.A number of these programmes have won national TV awards.
  
  Earlier in his career, Paul Clark worked as a DJ on 2 FM in Dublin.He is a versatile person, comfortable working with large and small groups.
  
  Paul is also the ideal person as master of ceremonies and chairman at conference events.
  
  LivesPaul was born in Belfast and still lives in Northern Ireland with his wife Carol and two sons Peter and David.

  Presently a consultant with Cripps Harries Hall LLP, Paul Clark qualified in 1970 at a Gray's Inn firm.He began to specialise in commercial property in 1972 when he joined Linklaters & Paines.In 1984 he moved to DJ Freeman, where he was head of property from 1990 to 2000 and also chaired the influential City of London Solicitors Company Land LawSubcommittee.He has been a full-time consultant since 2003,spending 2/3 of his time working for clients and the balance on lecturing, training, research, and membership of, for example, the RICS Common Auction Conditions' editorial board and HMRC working parties on SDLT.Paul is author of The Leasebook - a new means of letting commercial and residential property, the RICS Common Auction Conditions (published 2002, revised 2005), and the lease chapter of iSURV surveyors' on-line service.

  South East law firm, Cripps Harries Hall, has hired DJ Freeman's former senior property partner, Paul Clark.This follows recent activity at DJ Freeman resulting in the hiving off of the property and media sections of the firm to Olswang.
  
  Paul will not be going with his former colleagues as he heads south of the City to the increasingly high profile regional firm, Kent-based Cripps Harries Hall.
