    O.C. Clark

    GILMER - Services for O.C. Clark, 85, of Gilmer will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ronald Demski and Larry W. Osborne officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

    Mr. Clark was born Sept. 13, 1917, in Upshur County. He died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003. He was a 1935 graduate of Gilmer High School.

    He entered the U.S. Army in 1940 and was discharged in 1945. He attended the Command and General Staff College and U.S. Army Logistics Management, receiving a master's degree in military science. In 1977, he retired as a colonel of the U.S. Army.

    On July 21, 1943, he married Joyce Evelyn Brauner.

    In 1945, he joined his father, Ermin Clark, in the family business, the Clark and Son Grocery. He continued in that business until his retirement in 1980.

    He was a member of Bethesda Masonic Lodge No. 142 AF&AM.
