Nina Clark , RN , CDE Named Director of Education and Professional Development.Pensacola , FL
Nina Clark , RN , CDE has been named Director of Education and Professional Development Services at West Florida Hospital.In her new role , Clark will coordinate hospital-wide education consisting of staff development , patient education , and the Medical Library.In addition , she will serve as program coordinator for the hospital's inpatient diabetes program.
Clark earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing in 1975 from the University of Florida.She is a Certified Diabetes Educator , a Certified Pump Educator , and a BLS Instructor with the American Heart Association.
After working briefly at hospitals in central Florida and Georgia , she came to West Florida Hospital in 1977.During her tenure at West Florida , she has served in several capacities , including Assistant Head Nurse and Head Nurse in Surgery , Diabetes Educator , Diabetes Counselor and Patient Education Coordinator/Manager.Clark also has experience as a Director of Education at another facility in Florida.
Clark is active with the American Diabetes Association and the Gulf Coast Association of Diabetes Educators , having served as president of the local chapter for 6 of the past 11 years.She has also been an adjunct professor at Pensacola Junior College.
