   "We had some success in the option game and made some good decisions all around," Pittsburg coach Merle Clark said. "We wanted to establish the line of scrimmage. We knew from watching them against Emporia and (on film) Fort Scott that we would have to control the line of scrimmage."
   
   Pittsburg went 56 yards in eight plays to take a 6-0 lead on David Row's one-yard run on the first possession of the game. A nine-play, 72-yard drive in the second quarter made it 12-0 on a Zach Willis two-yard run.

   "They were running a little speed option down the line with their quarterback and we needed to get the (line)backer over the top," Clark said. "It was a switch in momentum. They came out in the second half, changed some things and showed the option out of a power set."

   On first down at the 29, Clark took a pitch from quarterback Marcus White and scissored his way through the Coffeyville secondary for a 71-yard touchdown jaunt.
