Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution's Media Lab is directed by Mary S. Clark, who is the producer of Sea Profiles.Mary grew up near the coast in a big family that nutured her love of the ocean.She received a B.S. In Environmental Science and Aquaculture from Florida Institute of Technology.She has been an employee at HBOI since 1983, working in Florida, Hawaii, and Palau.
She has produced four CD-ROMs and several museum exhibits, and she was selected as one of the "Top 100" Multimedia Producers of 1996 and 1999 by the AV Video & Multimedia Producer magazine.Mary began her carreer in the Aquaculture Division at Harbor Branch where she cultured mollusks, shrimp, fish and plankton and became involved in the production of educational videos.Later, she developed an "Explorer Journal " mini-documentary for National Geographic Television Explorer on the wreck of the USS Monitor.More recently, she has overseen the production of HBOI's web site (http://www.hboi.edu) and @Sea (http://www.at-sea.org). -
