Hempstead County District 2 Justice of the Peace Gary Dean Clark has announced his intention to seek re-election upon his filing for office subject to the May 18 Democrat Party Preferential Primary Election.
Clark has served as a member of the quorum court since 1996.
"I enjoy serving on the quorum court," Clark said. "Hempstead County and its residents are very special to me. I am related to several local families and I've been blessed with life-long friendships with many of the citizens of Hope and Hempstead County."
A 1965 graduate of Hope High School, Clark is a native of Hope, and a graduate of the former Red River Vocational-Technical School in Hope (now the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope.)

Clark is a military veteran of service in the Vietnam Conflict, and is currently employed as a tanker truck driver by Dana Suttles Leasing Co. in the Hope Industrial Park.
