   Mary Ellen was born in Glen Dale, WV on September 22, the twin daughter of Earl and Margie Clark. She was initiated into Moundsville Chapter No. 86 on November 19, 1981. Mary Ellen served as Grand Electa for Sister Dixie Barley and Brother Jack Lauck in the Heavenly Blessings Grand Family in 1995. She graduated from Moundsville High School and West Virginia Northern Community College with a nursing degree. She is currently practicing as a Registered Nurse for Ohio County Schools and is a member of the West Virginia School Nurses Association. She has for 23 years championed the rights of children and is never too busy to give tender loving care to children in need. She married Jim Shannon, her childhood sweetheart and the love of her life, on September 6, 1963. They were blessed with two children, Suzanne and Bill. Suzanne is the Staffing Manager for Interim Services in Columbus, Ohio. Bill resides in Hillsville, Virginia and is an electrical engineer for Virginia Technical University in Blacksburg, Virginia. She has one grandson, Jacob, which is her pride and joy. Mary Ellenâs favorite place to eat is any Mexican restaurant.
