Lynne Clark, president of Red Letter Days explains just what a modern-day wedding planner does and how times have changed.
Clark's first experience in aiding a bride was over 19 years ago when her best friend enlisted her help in coordinating her special day. "Not only did I sing in her wedding, I helped with the details during the planning stages as well as the day of. She knew how organized I am and thought I would be the ideal person for the job," she says. Clark enjoyed the challenge and a second career bloomed from the experience. She worked in the field of education as both a teacher and elementary school principal. She recently retired and has made wedding planning a full-time career.
Most brides today work full time and have turned to the services of a wedding planner to execute their dreams into reality for their special day. Clark offers a menu of options for couples to choose from. "I can assist and be involved in as much or as little as the couple desires," she says. "For instance, I can assist with the pre-planning in confirming a venue, booking vendors for the wedding and reception, and simply be there the day of the event to make sure things run smoothly." Clark can also handle every aspect of a wedding. "I can take the reins early on in appointments with bridal gown boutiques; working with the printing and caterers; assisting in bridal showers and parties and organizing the rehearsal dinner, " she says. Clark attempts to offer her services individually to ensure flexibility and to help couples by offering them an exclusive service designed just for them.
Brides-to-be who live out of town but plan to marry in this area have entrusted Clark to provide the best of the best in all areas of wedding planning because logistics just simply are not conducive to carrying out all the details necessary in orchestrating the event of a lifetime.
Whether you are in town or out, an initial consultation with Clark would be enlightening as she knows the ropes and enjoys making this memorable occasion as relaxed and easy going as possible. -

Clark says, "Why not invite close friends and relatives to celebrate just following the proposal. Give gifts that will help assist her in the decisions she will be making for her special day"
Clark adds; have each guest write a "Gem of Marriage Wisdom" for the honoree so that she may have the advice from those who love her most."
