   President: Linda Clark, who has been a member of the Capital District Women's Bar Association since 1992, has served as a member of the Board of Directors for over 10 years. Linda is a partner with the law firm of Hiscock & Barclay, LLP, in the firm's Albany, New York office. She is a litigator who concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial, mass torts, toxic torts, and health care litigation. As the court-appointed Liaison Counsel for the Third, Fourth and Fifth Judicial District Asbestos Litigation, Linda is responsible for coordinating discovery in all pending asbestos cases involving over 130 law firms and communicating with the courts and plaintiffs' counsel as a representative of defendants.
   
   Linda has been a frequent lecturer and contributor of written materials at over ten accredited Continuing Legal Education programs for attorneys. A leader in addressing issues affecting women in the legal profession, Linda currently serves on several New York State Bar Association committees relating to the status of women in the legal profession, including the Task Force on Gender Equity and The Special Committee on Lawyers in Transition. Linda is equally active in leading innovative diversity initiatives within her firm, where she chairs the firm's Diversity Committee, serves as the Recruiting Partner of the Albany office, and is also responsible for coordinating the firm's pro-bono program. In her spare time, Linda is also active politically and serves her community as an elected committee person in the Town of Guilderland, where she has also been appointed to the position of Assistant Town Attorney.
   
   Linda received her law degree from Albany Law School, cum laude, and is a magna cum laude graduate of Siena College. She was admitted to the New York State and Massachusetts State Bars in 1992. In 2000, she was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.

   Ms. Clark concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial litigation, toxic tort and defense and health care litigation. She represents a broad array of individuals, businesses and defense clients in civil matters pending in state, federal and commercial claims courts throughout New York. Ms. Clark's defense practice is focused upon the representation of specialty insurers and self-insured concerns in cases ranging from the defense of claims of catastrophic injury brought pursuant to New York's strict liability labor laws, to the defense of thousands of mass-tort asbestos claims pending in the eastern and central regions of New York State. She has extensive experience in commercial litigation matters, many of which involve complex contract claims for millions of dollars. Other areas of litigation in which Ms. Clark has significant experience include securities claims, labor law cases, and health care-related contract claims and appeals.
