Leigh Prescott Clark, Class of 1974 Leigh Clark received her B.A. in Physical Education from JSC in 1974, and her Masters in Education, with a concentration in Adaptive Physical Education, from UVM in 1991. At JSC, she did Women?s Alpine Skiing and Combo alpine/cross country skiing at carnival races (4 years), soccer (4 years), and field hockey. She also was a member of the karate, basketball, x-country, running, and kayaking clubs. She is currently a Physical Education teacher at the Warren Elementary School, and a ski instructor at Mad River Glen Ski Area. Since college, she has been a volunteer coach for many years in various youth sports in the Mad River Valley: Little League Farm Team, the Mad River Valley Youth Soccer (boys and girls), and the Valley Swim Team. She is a Board member of the Mad River Valley Youth Soccer (10 years), Valley Swim Team (6 years), and the Mad River Junior Ski Race Club (Treasurer, 3 years). In addition, she has served as a board member for the Vermont Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (VAHPERD), and the Green Mountain Chapter of the Children with Attention Deficit Disorder (CHADD). She has been an American Red Cross water safety instructor for 21 years. She was active as a Brownie and Girl Scout leader for many years. In her free time she swims, skis, plays tennis, bikes, and snowshoes.
