   Jennifer Clark started her working life as a foot soldier in the War on Poverty. It was the beginning of 19 years as a line worker in a variety of human services settings. She then became a full-time student, getting the second half of a bachelor's degree from Plymouth State College and going on to the Pennsylvania State University for a doctorate in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in intervention research. Dr. Clark taught a senior-level course, Principles of Intervention, during her student years. She also garnered several honors, all of which undoubtedly have impressed no one but her mother. A resident of the DC area since 2000, Dr. Clark is with Economic Opportunity Studies, a nonprofit charitable corporation providing research-related support to organizations whose work is focused on low- and moderate-income families and individuals. Her specialty is working with community-based organizations (places that always feel like home), collaborating on program evaluation designs that utilize the expertise of the staff members and that incorporate their wishes while meeting the dictates of their funding source.
