Owned by Jean Clark, the stand sells everything from softshell crabs to shrimp to fish from a neat row of blue and white coolers.A box of 50-cent paperback books for the beach rounds out the offerings.

A student at Chincoteague High School, Clark has worked at the stand since age 11.

"It's a job for summertime - to make some money - so that's good," said Clark, adding that shrimp are the most popular selection.Mostly tourists frequent the stand, he said, though locals also stop by.
