  Jim began his real estate career in Oakland in 1986 and worked as an Industrial/Office salesman in the Cushman & Wakefield office of Oakland.
  
  He worked primarily in the geographical areas between Oakland Airport and Hercules with an emphasis on sales and leasing in the above-mentioned areas.He developed excellent relationships with clients such as Peets Coffee & Tea, Clif Bar, MBA Polymers, Inc., Richards & Sterling, Ofoto Inc. and Sweet Potatoes.He also developed relationships with many of the top developers in the area: TMG Partners, Stern Properties, Wareham Development, Ellis Properties, Oliver Construction SRM Associates, and Pulte Homes Inc.The above relationships were orientated in the leasing, sales and re-development of industrial properties into office or residential.
  
  While at Cushman & Wakefield, Jim received Broker of the Year in 1993 by doing the largest transaction in the western region.
  
  In 1995, Jim was recruited to the Oakland CB Commercial Real Estate office and was named Senior associate for their company.He continued to work with the above clients and developed new relationships with some of the CB real estate contacts.While at CB Commercial Real Estate, Jim completed two (2) build to suits; one for 60,000 square feet and another for 40,000 square feet.He represented Ellis Partners on one of the largest sales in Emeryville in 1998 whereby Grove Value and Regulatory sold a 200,000 square foot building on 5.2 acres.Jim was retained as the leasing agent for Ellis Partners and successfully converted the building into a high-tech office project that is 100% leased.
  
  In 1999 he had an opportunity to join three Senior CB Commercial Real Estate agents and become Vice President & Partner in the Cornish & Carey Commercial Real Estate office in Emeryville.Cornish & Carey is headquartered in Santa Clara and has seven offices currently in Northern California and is the largest commercial Real Estate Company in this region.
  
  Jim earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business at the University of Oregon.He currently lives in Oakland and is very active at the Berkeley Tennis Club.He continues to concentrate his business on the Industrial/Office corridor between the Oakland Airport and Hercules from the Emeryville office.

As always this group is a great resource... Solution - the computer was broken - swap it out... After toying with it tonight I went to change bands and saw the alt-f1 and alt-f2 weren't working....did a re-boot and still hosed...so...no matter what it is not a machine for the desk this weekend, eh?Moved another computer into place when the software booted I saw the band change from the default change to the band the rig was on and the CAT light on the 1000D was flashing...
