KATHRYN CIMIS

Ms. Cimis joins the art faculty as a teacher of Computer Graphics I and II as well as Art Studio.Her extensive background includes 3 years at Columbia High School in Maplewood where, in addition to teaching a variety of art and design courses, she was also advisor of the school newspaper, which won two awards for design in 1997-1998.Ms. Cimis has also taught at the County College of Morris and The College of New Jersey.She has experience as a graphics designer at several companies including the Sony Corporation from which she received a Design Achievement Award in 1997.Ms. Cimis is a recipient of a Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation Graduate Education Fellowship (1998). her academic credentials include a BFA from Cooper Union in New York, a MFA from The Basel School of Design in Switzerland, and non-degree study in education at William Paterson University.
