After graduating in Advanced Mechanical Engineering, Alan came to work for Frazer-Nash Consultancy where he was exposed to the power, industrial, defence and marine sectors and developed his knowledge in structural analysis based around computational analysis and classical hand-calculation methods. Following on from this, Alan continued his career as a Forensic Scientist for the Forensic Science Service where he gained a hands-on approach to failure analysis. Through this period, he authored numerous witness statements and has attended the courts on many occasions. Alan returned to Frazer-Nash in 2008 as a Senior Consultant.
